Research Process

Method before opinion.

A consistent framework does not remove uncertainty. It makes assumptions, risks and decisions easier to inspect.

01

Investment question

Every substantial research project should begin with a decision-relevant question. The objective is not to collect the maximum amount of information, but to identify what must be true for an investment thesis to work.

02

Business quality

We examine competitive advantage, industry structure, customer economics, incentives, capital intensity and the durability of returns on invested capital.

03

Financial durability

Growth, margins, cash generation, balance-sheet resilience, capital allocation and accounting quality are considered together rather than as isolated ratios.

04

Valuation

Valuation is treated as a range of outcomes rather than a single precise number. Where appropriate, research considers base, upside and downside cases and the assumptions required by each.

05

Risk and catalysts

We explicitly separate what can make an investment valuable from what can make the thesis wrong. Risks, catalysts and monitoring conditions are recorded so that later evidence can be judged against the original case.

06

Decision discipline

A good company is not automatically a good investment. Research is intended to support decisions while preserving the option to conclude that the correct action is to wait, avoid or continue investigating.

PUBLIC RECORD

Timestamped research.

Published research receives a publication timestamp. Material revisions are recorded separately from the original publication time. The objective is to preserve a reviewable history rather than quietly rewrite prior conclusions.

PERFORMANCE

Rules before results.

When research-performance and model-portfolio reporting are introduced, calculation rules, reference prices, benchmarks and treatment of open and closed ideas will be documented before the resulting history is used for evaluation.

SOURCES

Evidence over narrative.

Research may use company filings, investor-relations materials, public market data, industry sources and ArtAnt Capital estimates. Forecasts and estimates remain judgments, not facts.

EVOLUTION

Process can improve.

The framework will evolve as evidence accumulates. Methodology changes should improve consistency and decision quality without retroactively changing the historical record of previously published ideas.

Research is informational and educational, not personalized investment advice.
